It’s our final Fabric Focus of 2024 and we thought we’d steer clear of the festive cheer for this one! If you’re celebrating and making some gifts, we hope you’re all finished and set – we’re sure the recipients will love them! As always, be sure to share your makes with us over on our socials, using #WoolWarehouseCrafters and we’ll share some of our favourites.

Back to the collection!

This week, we’re zooming in on Riley Blake’s latest Jane Austen collection, Mansfield Park. Each of the designs featured within the 19-piece collection are named after the locations and characters in the novel. Taken from the Riley Blake blog

“Jane Austen’s novel Mansfield Park, first published in 1814, tells the story young Fanny Price, who is sent to live with her wealthy relatives, the Bertrams, at the age of ten. As she grows up, she develops deep feelings for Edmund Bertram, the only person at Mansfield Park who shows her true kindness.”

Riley Blake Designs have released a few collections in the past, launching with Jane Austen at Home. Working alongside museum and charity Jane Austen’s House, their collection was successful in recreating patterns from a coverlet made by Jane, her sister Cassandra and their mother, available in meterage and a pack to be able to make a replica of the quilt yourself.

Since then, Riley Blake have been releasing other collections that harmonise with her six novels. Previously released collections include Pride and Prejudice and Sense and Sensibility, with Mansfield Park being their latest. It’s safe to say we’re intrigued to see which novel’s accompanying collection is next!

Featuring florals, checks and intriguing repeats, Mansfield Park compliments their previous collections perfectly.

With each design so unique, there’s plenty to pique your interest. We’re fans of the teal tones in both ‘Susan’ and ‘Landscape’, alongside the berry colourways of ‘Lady Bertram’, ‘Mrs. Norris’ and another of the ‘Landscape’ designs. As always, it appears we can’t simply choose one!

Thankfully, you can view and shop the full collection HERE. What will you create?

Of course, there’s much inspiration to be had, but ultimately, we’re a sucker for a freebie. Thankfully, Riley Blake have the perfect project for Jane Austen fans with the Edmund and Fanny quilt. You can download it HERE and check out some other projects that the Riley Blake designers have created, too.

Well that calls time on this year’s Fabric Focus posts! Thank you so much for joining us throughout the year and I hope you enjoy what we’ve got in store for you all in 2025.

Keep your eyes peeled throughout the rest of December for some great content on here and over on our socials, too!
