We’d be lying if we weren’t still thinking about previous getaways, such as our previous escape to the sea, as we explored Makower’s High Tide. This week, however, we’re thinking about the idyllic countryside and all it has to offer to us. We’re stepping into simpler living as we wander through the wildflowers and into Cottage Bliss, by Make & Believe.
Featuring lush greens, vibrant oranges and delicate lavender, Cottage Bliss, designed by Alexandra Holt, is a collection that truly whisks you away. Finely illustrated, the collection zooms in on some of life’s simple, yet greatest pleasures, as florals, books and teapots feature throughout.
This ten-piece collection really encapsulates the beauty in going off grid, as we’re tuned into the wildlife and peace around us. We’d love to spend at least a week in that teeny cottage! But first, let’s take a closer look at some of our favourites within the collection…
The more time you spend with Cottage Bliss, the more you notice. It almost takes its time to zoom-in on what’s in and around the cottage, as we can imagine the Tranquil Blue and Sunshine Orange Doilies are focusing on a wonderfully dressed table to have breakfast on. Whereas the Floral Stamps almost look like cameos in White and Gold, feeling like a snapshot of its wallpaper, as soon as you open that front door. We can imagine cosying up in the evening with the blanket vibes of the Colourful Crochet design, only waking to head outside and run our hands through the fragrant Wildflower Meadow.
Cottage Bliss feels tangible; every part of this collection really sets your focus on the beauty of the every day and some of the things we may take for granted. The range feels like a reset, much like those little getaways we so need and deserve.
Choosing a favourite for Cottage Bliss feels like our toughest yet, but it would have to be Meadow Haven, pictured on the left.
