It’s been a busy month here in the warehouse and not just from so many of you getting into the Halloween spirit of things. We’ve seen many of you getting ready for your festive makes, alongside treating yourselves to some of the new collections, including Moda and BasicGrey’s Grunge! It’s been a firm favourite of quilters over the years and we’re thrilled to be stocking this interesting range of blenders – click HERE to view the full collection!

As for other exciting new ranges, let’s take a look at what the month of October’s brought us and what’s been piquing your interest!

Atelier – Makower 🧵

Makower’s absolutely smashing it as of late with these new collections, and their latest notions-themed range is just another that knocks it out of the park. Atelier’s the latest addition and one that you hobbyists have been seriously loving!

Featuring beautifully toned notions, cute buttons and measuring tapes, Atelier appeals to the many with a vintage, yet timeless, feel. The hand-drawn illustration style really gives that quaint feel to the fabric, as each design has clearly been well-thought-out to take it from sketch to print.

As you know, we love letting you know about the latest free patterns and, excitedly enough, this is the first of two that we’re bringing you today! Matthew Pridemore of The Whimsical Workshop is back at it again in designing something incredibly special, with the Atelier Sew Amazing quilt pattern, which is available for download HERE.

Whether you’re crafting something for yourself or a loved one, Atelier’s sure to be a conversation starter with any sewing fan in your life. It’s the perfect collection to create a little project bag or two, keeping its theme at the forefront. Whether you’re making a fab new sewing machine cover or even something to wear, Atelier’s details will prove a winner time and again. Be sure to view the full collection HERE.

Bramble & Bumble – Craft Cotton Company 🐝

We’re heading out of the sewing room and into nature for a closer look at Craft Cotton’s latest, Bramble & Bumble! A small-but-mighty collection, this quintet offers a very cute look at what’s happening in the countryside.

Bouncing sheep, sleeping foxes and happy hedgehogs feature in complementary shades, offering designs to suit a number of uses. Perfect for any child’s nursery or if you’re a lover of all things cute, Bramble & Bumble seems to get sweeter the longer you look at it.

If you’re unable to choose your favourite, we’re also stocking the incredibly handy fat quarter bundle! Offering a piece of each design, it’s a great way to craft some smaller makes for a loved one or for yourself. To shop the full collection, click HERE.

Country Croft – Lewis & Irene 🚜

Lewis & Irene have been keeping us busy this October as their latest collections have been gracing many of our shelves! We’ve welcomed the arrival of Old Quercus and Wee Bluebell’s Under The Sea, yet we’re heading to the rolling fields as we take a closer look at Country Croft!

Much like any Lewis & Irene collection, they’re keen to whisk us away with their storytelling. Taken from their website, Lewis & Irene explain via their lookbook:

“Our Country Croft fabric collection brings the charms of rural life with gentle hues to reflect and draws inspiration from the bucolic beauty of farmland and its inhabitants. Duck egg blues evoke the tranquility of open skies, honey colours remind us of golden fields whilst soft greys and browns provide a neutral tone to bring a rustic feel.”

We think they’ve achieved what they’ve set out to do, and then some. Each design of Country Croft compliments so well together, yet seperately, each piece stands strong on their own. Whether it’s utilising a print to craft something for a nursery or a set of vintage-style bunting, Country Croft is not only incredibly versatile, it appeals to many.

Across four main colourways in honey, duck egg, mink and cream, the collection can suit a range of different palettes for the home. Much like many other Lewis & Irene collections, Country Croft also has its very own free quilting pattern for you to download.

Designed by Sally Ablett, these three table topper designs will become the talk of any meal! Offering interesting interlocking patterns and quilt block combos, the Country Croft pattern is a perfect way to showcase this stunning collection. Coming Soon…

Although this month has indeed been a busy one, things aren’t showing any signs of slowing down! We’ve got some seriously stunning collections on the way from a few of our favourite designers.

First up, Ambiance from Moda has us in a floral frenzy as 3 Sisters are back with their signature style. Mixing rose reds, midnight blues and eucalyptus across this 19-piece collection, Ambiance is sure to have many of you quilters out there enchanted with this one!

Next up is another strong collection from the folks at Free Spirit, as we’re heading to Bedford Park with another collaboration from Morris & Co. Featuring pops of vibrant pinks and luscious greens, Bedford Park welcomes new designs to the roster with Monkshood and The Savaric, entwining timeless designs with intriguing tales from the iconic home of Morris.

Last, but by no means least, it’s one for the cat lovers as we’re back with Lewis & Irene for The Purrfect Book Club. Releasing a similar collection quite some time ago proved popular with Bookworm, a collection that’s clearly inspired them to come back and bring their feline friends with them this time around! With many curious cats and great puns in existing book titles, The Purrfect Book Club is not only a fun collection, it’s seriously cute, too!

That’s it from us for this October; we hope you’ve enjoyed it! Don’t forget to check out what Alex has got in store for this month’s yarn and projects, and we take a closer look at all things needlecraft!
