To start this month’s Monthly Round Up, we thought we’d do a spotlight on the Bothy Threads, Christmas Tree Farm Cross Stitch. This gorgeous kit comes with a 14 count misty blue aida, with pre sorted stranded cottons. It uses various stitches, including the back stitch and some French knots. The kit comes with a clear chart, Velcro, a needle and fluffy Lana threads. It’s a gorgeous festive design, that would be a lovely make for any intermediate cross stitcher this Christmas. It’s finished size measures 28cm by 20cm, so it would make a perfect wall hanging 🎄
Staying on the festive theme, Rico have released some fabulous kits for embroidery, including the fun Stick and Stitch range. The self adhesive template is stuck onto a washable textile backing, and secured in an embroidery hoop. You can then embroider the design according to the instructions included. Once you finish the embroidery, the template can be removed with warm water, without leaving residue. The kits vary from the number of designs and stickers in each pack, however you can adorn tea towels, tablecloths, or anything you can get your hands on to add a little festive magic to your ordinary homewares.

It wouldn’t be a Needlecraft round up without a Needle Minder. We have had some fun designs in from Caterpillar Cross Stitch, Bothy Threads and Hawthorn Handmade. All the Needle Minders we stock are made of the highest quality, and the designs vary from brand to brand. Some of our favourite ones are the Mushroom at the Inn and the Here Comes the Sun from Bothy Threads 💖

Lastly, Vervaco have released three Cross Stitch Kit cushions which are all super cute. The Gingerbread Man, Christmas Tree and Candy Cane all have festive shades running through them, that truly make you think of the cosy season ahead. The kits come with everything you need, including the cushion, large holed canvas and hand painted cotton. They are aimed at beginner level stitchers, and can be made from ages 6+.

That’s it for October in the needlecraft section of Wool Warehouse. Be sure to see what Alex has to show you in Yarns, and hop on over to Fabric for Vic’s choices.
