Kathryn Middleton is the woman behind AmyJ Designs, which she created in 2018, on the twenty-eighth anniversary of her daughter Amy Jennifer’s stillbirth.  The largest portion of the profit from Kathryn’s designs goes to the charity SANDS (Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Society).

Kathryn and her partner live in a century-old limestone cottage in a market town in the UK’s Peak District.  Kathryn was originally taught to knit by her Mum, to crochet by her Nanna, and to embroider by her Grandma, and has been crafting for as long as she can remember.  Having decided to concentrate mainly on crochet in recent years, she loves to create designs with texture.  She has an active Facebook Group and runs regular weekend crochet retreats, where she shares her love of all things crochet.
