Emily, the designer behind The Loopy Stitch, is best known for her colourful mandala creations, the ideas for which she gets, she confesses, from everywhere!  (The most random inspiration was the colours of her children’s plates in the dishwasher!)  She loves to work with Stylecraft yarns and cotton, and is also beginning to venture into designing with natural fibres.  It was in around 2016 that she began to realise that she preferred to create patterns rather than read someone else’s, as it helped to keep her mind calm.  A busy mum of three boys, Emily is based with her family on the Sunshine Coast in Australia, where she enjoys family life along with the beach, gardens and nature.  Her dream (one day!) is to own a yarn store, stocked to the ceiling with all the colours of the rainbow, where she can hold workshops and, eventually, even create her own yarn.
