Ooof, where did February go? It might be the shortest month but it’s been a jam packed one for the fabric department, with new fabric arrivals, new faces on the team, and a re-organisation of the fabric room. I’ve got lots to round up for you this month, so let’s get into it!
Coming Soon…

We can’t wait to sing in Spring with the ‘Clearbury Down‘ collection from Lewis and Irene, which is due in mid March. Inspired by the countryside and chalky downlands near Lewis and Irene HQ in Hampshire, ‘Clearbury Down’ is a celebration of rural Spring, featuring frothy hedgerows full of cow parsley, bees buzzing in wild flowers, swallows swooping low and countryside creatures playing on the edge of a copse.
Just In…

Now that evenings are becoming clearer and brighter, what could be more awe inspiring than laying outside with a quilt and looking up at the vast starry sky? There’s something magnificent about feeling so small and observing the grandeur of the universe above us. We look for the pictures of the constellations, find planets, and when we’re lucky, catch our breath after a shooting star splits the night sky. New in from Moda, Starry Sky is designer April Rosenthal’s celebration of the beauty of these moments, featuring celestial bodies, zodiac signs and constellations in a moody palette of blues and creams.

Revisiting a much loved theme, the new Foxwood collection from Makower brings the beauty of the British countryside onto fabric. These beautiful lino-cut style prints in soft tones of greens and blues make the perfect calming and grown up palette for a quilt or an interior sewing project. The striking coordinating panels feature picture squares, that can be used complete or cut to individual images – it’s used to great effect in the free quilt pattern which you can find here

It hasn’t just been about grown up prints and muted tones! Whiskers is a purr-fect collection of cute cat prints from Makower, in bright pinks, teals and yellows. This fun collection of kitties enjoying their creature comforts will add a cheery pop of colour to any garment, bag or quilt. Check out the paw-some free quilt pattern for inspiration!

Last but not least – We gave you a little teaser last month, and Liberty Fabrics’ Garden Party collection is finally here! You are cordially invited to join Liberty Fabrics at home, in the heart of the beautiful British countryside as they gather to celebrate the height of summer with a lavish garden soiree. Take time to explore the bright blooming garden on a golden summer evening; wander along the rolling green lawns, flecked with picturesque follies, and pause to enjoy the scent and splendour of the Rose Garden. Finally, take a seat at the banquet table and feast through the night on fine cakes and dessert…Almost too pretty to eat!
