We consider ourselves a lucky bunch when it comes to the needlecraft brands that we stock, and what better way to showcase some of those than with a NEW feature on the blog!
Introducing…THE STITCHUATION! We’ll be focusing on a brand a month and our five favourites – it’s a tough job, but thankfully, General Manager Ellie and I are here to make all the hard decisions.
For June, and first up for the new feature, it’s LanArte. Originating from the 1930s in the Netherlands, LanArte have excelled year after year due to their high-quality kits. Ranging from idyllic moments to striking still life imagery, there’s a kit to suit every taste.
The Scent of Dahlia

A relatively new kit to the warehouse, ‘The Scent of Dahlia’ evokes classic opulence in this still life inspired kit. Available to stitch on linen, the contrasting back stitch really brings this piece to life.
With the outlines of delicate petals and the addition of French knots to the fragrance label, the details really help bring this scene to life.
On The Lookout
This dramatic scene of a Robin proves that a picture can produce a thousand words, it asks the question of what could be around the rest of the image.
We love the curiosity of the little bird, but allowing ourselves a moment to ponder while stitching this piece is much needed, too.
Us crafters know that we’re always looking ahead to those makes around wintertime; this would be perfect to gift to a loved one in any form.

Dancing In Passion

Striking on 14 count black Aida, we’re certainly feeling the rhythm in ‘Dancing In Passion’. Sizing at 48 x 50cms, these dancers won’t shy away from becoming quite the conversation piece in anyone’s home.
Gold metallic thread features throughout, once again proving that LanArte love to bring the detail to each piece, ensuring that the clothing and accessories really catch the audience’s eye.
Cover Me In Tulips
Who doesn’t love a bloom?! Florals are a common theme that feature within LanArte’s collections and it’s clear as to why – they’re stunning.
Stitched onto 14-count aida, these Tulips are set to last a lifetime, making them the ideal gift whether it be for a future Mother’s Day, birthday or a gift for ‘just because’.
Backstitch and blended stitching make these florals pop off the fabric a treat – what a lively bunch!

Birdhouses With Roses

We’re rounding our first Stitchuation out with this quaint little birdhouse! This little Bluetit family are having quite the elevenses meeting, peeking out of a blooming rosebush.
Encapsulating a stolen moment from the countryside, this is certainly a kit for bird lovers everywhere.
We hope you enjoyed our first of many ‘stitchuations’! Be sure to stick around for some great inspo! Now off to have a look in the drawers for next months goodies…
