How do you re-use your organza bags? 💫

If you’re a regular customer of ours, you’ll be familiar with our iconic organza bags, those charming mesh bags that accompany your yarn orders and keep them secure on their journey to you. You now have the option to opt out of receiving them, especially if you find yourself with more organza bags than yarn! That said, these bags are incredibly versatile. We asked our Facebook followers how they repurpose their organza bags, and the responses were brilliant! Let’s take a look…

A popular use is, unsurprisingly, to store yarn. While we don’t claim they’re moth proof, they do keep your yarn clean, organised, and free from dust. If you have an abundance of organza bags, you can even colour-coordinate your yarns or organise them by yarn weight. This makes planning projects easier and helps you see what yarns you need to complete your collection (let’s be honest though, we always end up needing more yarn than we think!).

Another favourite use is for storing finished projects. Whether it’s putting away your autumnal blankets for the summer or tucking your summer garments away for the winter, these bags keep your projects safe and tidy. Some people even use them for gift-giving: simply pop your knitted or crocheted gift into an organza bag. For a personal touch, replace our Wool Warehouse ribbon with your own decorative ribbon or twine.

Beyond crafting, our organza bags have plenty of other practical uses. They’re perfect for holidays, use them to organise your clothes or keep your dirty laundry separate. They’re also great for storing loose vegetables in your kitchen or taking them to the supermarket.

Speaking of vegetables, if you have a vegetable patch in your garden or at your allotment, our organza bags are incredibly handy! Protecting your produce from hungry wildlife and harsh weather can be a challenge. By covering your vegetables with organza bags, you can shield them from being nibbled on and from heavy rain and wind.

What do you do with your organza bags? We love hearing your creative ideas!
