We don’t know about you, but there’s a fair few of us in the warehouse who are in the Christmas spirit already! With the cold mornings and the kettle on more than ever, the influx of Christmas on the TV and radio has us tapping our chins in deep thought as to what to put on this year’s wishlist.

However there’s one thing we’re certain on and that’s just how gorgeous the Candy Cane Christmas collection is from Dashwood! Designed by Helen Black, Dashwood describes the collection on their site as:

A vibrant celebration of festive cheer and cosy winter motifs. Featuring whimsical Christmas stockings, intricately wrapped gifts, and traditional yuletide elements, all adorned in a rich palette that encapsulates the warmth and joy of the season.

We couldn’t have said it better ourselves! If you’re a Dashwood fan, you would have seen Helen Black’s previous collection, Forest Whispers. Yet Candy Cane Christmas sees her bring her signature style to this fabulously festive collection, using bold colours to take a step away from the typical, more traditional tones you’d find this season.

Candy Cane Christmas delivers on its individuality with marrying classic festive staples with a fun, modern twist.

Bells and Candles surrounded by holly are reminiscent of yesteryear, yet quirky florals and hand-illustrated patterns on rich navy really make them pop.

The collection evokes the feeling of being a kid again, as each design reminds us of just how much joy can be made and created this time of year.

Dashwood are no strangers to a block panel and thankfully, Candy Cane Christmas includes one too! We love just how versatile these panels are; the world really is your oyster with what you could make with one. Featuring close-ups of motifs within the collection, you could easily add these to a quilt, or even use the entire panel as its centrepiece. It really is up to you – although, we’d recommend starting it before Christmas Eve…

We must enjoy making life hard for ourselves as bi-weekly, we choose our favourites within each collection.

It’s another tough choice, but our top spots have got to be the Candy Canes on that gorgeous bright red, the fabulously festive Patchwork Candy Houses and the Christmas Stripe that makes us think of what could be wrapped under the tree!

The whimiscal nature of the collection really has us geared up for the season and with how festive feel-good this one is, we can’t wait to see what Helen Black will do next for Dashwood.

In the meantime, we’re off to grab some sweets… those candy canes have made us a little bit peckish! 🍬
