Welcome to our very first Book Club, crafters! Each month, we’ll be delving into our favourite craft books and patterns, and shining a light on the talented designers behind them. 😍

This month, we’re putting the spotlight on the incredible Rachel Coopley, the creative genius behind CoopKnits. Rachel has a real passion for knitting, and her stunning sock designs are simply adored by knitters everywhere. Her love for knitting comes from her family – she learned from her grandma and mum, and then rediscovered her passion back in 2007. She was eager to learn all the tricks of the trade, and was particularly drawn to the art of sock knitting. Her first pair of self-designed socks were born in 2010, and the rest, is history.

Now, I must confess, I’ve never knitted a pair of socks myself. I see colleagues knitting away during lunchbreak all the time, and to be honest, it scares me! As someone who mostly crochets (I have knitted a vest and cardigan in my past!) crochet socks have never been on my radar, but the Crochet Yeah! book is a perfect mix of winter warmers, and a cute sock pattern thrown in. Maybe I can be swayed. ✨

We’re also fortunate to stock the stunning yarns she has created in collaboration with Fyberspates. Carefully curated by Rachel herself, these yarns boast colour palettes that reflect her deep passion for craft.
