We’re back with another edition of The Stitchuation and this month we’re taking a closer look at Riverdrift House and their beautiful designs. Never losing sight of their signature style, Riverdrift tick many boxes when it comes to covering a fair few bases. Let’s take a closer look at some of our favourites in the warehouse.
Greetings, Loved One

Who doesn’t love a card coming through the post? We know we do! These card kit multipacks are a great way to offer a loved one an individual greeting for any time of the year, and with six different designs in each pack, it’s a lovely way to let your friends and family know you’re thinking of them.
Although we’re far from Christmas, the Christmas Robin Hearts help spread the festive cheer, whilst the cute Cachou Bella character cards are great to send a little note to a friend. However for the season, we’re loving the Springs Greetings set, as it covers a few different occasions – not to mention the striking sunshine yellow used on each design. Perfect to brighten up any day!
Each kit comes with six pre-cut pieces of 14 count aida, alongside six pieces of iron-on backing fabric, embroidery threads, a needle, charts and full instructions and six white cards and envelopes. With kits starting from just £20.99, it really is the perfect way to stitch your way to a certified smile being delivered.
Hip To Be Square

If you adore the look of granny squares yet haven’t the foggiest of how to start crocheting, Riverdrift have got you covered with these vibrant kits! Using complimentary tones, these samplers would be perfect to add some colour to a craft bag or to frame for your wall.
As a personal note, I’ve tried numerous times to get used to crocheting and I just haven’t found the knack yet; perhaps I should start here! Both the Granny Squares Multi and the Granny Squares 25 kits are sure to get you in the spirit for thinking about learning a new craft. We know just the place to get learning…
Keeping Things Traditional

Samplers continue to be popular and they show no signs of slowing down. Riverdrift uses their signature style to bring their own twist on samplers. Much like their other kits and using full stitches only, the Auricula sampler features pretty florals alongside buzzing bees and tools to keep the garden thriving. The Cornwall Square boasts rolling waves, gulls and boats guided by the shining lighthouse, yet for those literary lovers, the Jane Austen sampler might be for you. Riverdrift House explains:
“…Designed to commemorate the life and work of Jane Austen. Included are lots of motifs to stitch in the style of the needlework of the time, together with modern designs for the Austen’s house at Steventon, Hampshire, the Bath Assembly Rooms and Winchester Cathedral (where she is buried) – together with a pair of characters from a novel (you can decide which they are!).”
A truly novel idea!
That’s All, Folks!

Keeping with the theme of samplers, Riverdrift are also known on their whimsical characters of The Folkies! Each kit features many motifs indicative of that theme; the seaside features prominently with the Cornish Folkies, many festive features can be found in the Santa and Mrs. Claus kit, but the gloriously ghoulish Halloween Spookies takes our top spot – consider us spellbound!
