We’re heading into different territories for Book Club this month, as we talk all things cross stitch! And what better way to help celebrate Earth Day than to take a closer peek into a book that reminds us just how precious our planet is.

Known across the internet and in the stitching community as Stitchrovia, Emma Congdon’s signature typography style has charmed many. Blending colours beautifully and incorporating a variety of styles, Emma’s use of techniques in her designs never fail to jump off the pattern, wowing viewers and stitchers alike once complete.

Many of us in the warehouse have been fans of her signature style for many years, ticking many boxes for what we look for in the perfect patterns. Yet her Cross Stitch For… series takes her typography to the next level, by offering some remarkable quotes. Whether it be well-known phrases from famous figures or herself, crafting a design to surround these words is no small feat, yet Emma always manages to bring a fresh take to each piece.

Each Cross Stitch For… book contains twenty beautiful designs to stitch and cherish, yet for this month’s Book Club, Emma’s designs for the earth have really captured our hearts. As you navigate through the book, Emma takes the time to explain each design and what inspired her to feature and create each pattern. Preservation is prevalent within each page, and what a wonderful way to remind ourselves of just how precious this planet truly is with these carefully thought-out designs.
