Here in Fabric Focus, we love to shine the spotlight on many collections that you may not have seen before, so this week we’re living for the throwbacks. Inspired by classic architecture, we’re taking a closer look at Deco Dance from Liberty Fabrics!
Featuring rich midnight blues, vibrant florals and hints of metallic throughout the collection, Deco Dance evokes opulence and a roaring good time. Revealing the inspiration behind the collection, Liberty Fabrics say:

“…inspired by the avant-garde
nature of the Art Deco period – a time of widespread creative experimentation in the arts, music and literature. Designed in the London studio, the collection offers […] delicate botanical motifs to bold pop florals.
Influenced by Miami’s iconic Art Deco architecture, the collection’s colour palette spans from ice cream pastels to the darkest inky blues, replicating the feeling of summer garden parties that carry on through the midnight hours.”
It’s certainly clear to see those influences coming through with the structure and shapes used within the collection! We love hearing about where Liberty Fabrics draw their inspiration from. Whether its paying homage to previous collections in their infancy or something in more recent years, it’s without question that Liberty Fabrics will take you on a journey with each range.
Whether alone or together, each print stands strong, proving tough for us to pick just one! Offering further options to bring those Miami-Deco influences into your very own home, the Deco Dance collection also offers a cushion panel to accessorise your soft furnishings with!
One panel includes one blue and one pink tile, offering you the option to have a front of each or craft it into a reversible cushion. You could grab some of the main collection to use for backing and mix and match things around! Yet if you’re more of a quilt maker, these tiles are great to use as centrepieces – the possibilities really are endless.

That’s it for this week’s Fabric Focus! Be sure to explore the full Deco Dance collection HERE. For further inspiration, tips and more, be sure to subscribe to The Craft Room below to never miss a post from us!
