Not actual flying sheep, of course, but 100% flying Woolly Workers! A few weeks back, ten fab members of our Woolly team bravely flung themselves out of a plane, all to raise money for Myton Hospice!
It started with a few conversations in late 2024, with our team wanting to do something special for the charity we’ve supported for over a decade. Adam, our wonderful Customer Service Manager, was the mastermind behind the whole shebang. A massive well done to Adam, Ellie, Trish, Helen, Lucy, Dane, Dan, Andy, Simon, and Annetta, who all took to the skies on 11th May, and have raised over 6k for the charity 💖
Here’s what some of them had to say about their experience:

Adam: “I’d been keen to organise a charity jump for a while, and then I spotted on social media that Myton Hospice offered group skydives. I know friends whose family members have been cared for there, and I’ve only ever heard wonderful things about them. You just never know when you might need that kind of help yourself, do you? Plus, it was a cracking way to get everyone together here – such an enjoyable experience! I’m up for doing it again!”

Lucy: “I’ve always fancied skydiving, and when the chance came up at work, I just had to grab it! It was even better knowing we were raising money for Myton Hospice, which is close to my heart – it made the whole thing feel so much more wholesome. I was the last one from our group to jump, so I was a bit nervous waiting my turn, but once I was out, it was just the best feeling ever! The views were incredible!”

Dan: “I was on the plane with Annetta, Andy, and Simon, and I was second to jump. I wasn’t feeling nervous at all before the jump, just excited! However, seeing someone else go before you did kick in a few nerves. Once I was out of the plane, the whole experience was just brilliant, and I’d 100% do it again. My advice? Turn your fear into excitement!”

Ellie: “A couple of years ago, if someone had asked me about jumping out of a plane, I would have said No! However, last year, when our Customer Services Manager Adam asked me, I excitedly replied with a ‘Yes!’. On the morning of 11th May, nerves kicked in, but excitement prevailed. Arriving at the airfield and watching others parachute, only fuelled my eagerness. The skydive was one of the most amazing experiences of my life, and it’s indescribable to explain the feeling of falling from 14,000 feet! Myton Hospice is a cause close to my heart, given my family’s past experiences with their care. They are an incredible charity, and while we have always supported them, this is by far the craziest fundraising we have done!”
Myton Hospice do such vital work, offering a fantastic range of services. This includes inpatient care, their wonderful ‘Myton at Home’ service, and loads of support for patients and their families. They really focus on improving the quality of life for those living with terminal illnesses, from diagnosis right through to end-of-life care.
They’re a brilliant local charity, and we’ve been chuffed to bits to support them for quite some time now, with fundraising going to them and Warwickshire Pride. Have any of you ever considered doing something as daring for charity?
