Back in December of last year, we welcomed The Crafty Kit Company into the warehouse and what a joy their stock has been to unpack. Featuring stunning needle felting kits and many iconic characters across different disciplines, we thought we’d dive back into the brand and take a closer look at what we’re loving at the moment.
In a Marmalade Daze…
We’ve a new visitor in the warehouse! Paddington’s taken a long-awaited trip to Leamington Spa and we’re super excited to stock the lovable bear. Armed with his trusty suitcase, Paddingon’s always prepared for anything as he’s featured in both embroidery and cross stitch.
The small-but-mighty collection certainly brings the cuteness. We’re loving the linework of At The Train Station and showing us his favourite hidden snack in Marmalade Surprise! However our favourite has to be seeing him in full colour with his signature blue coat and red hat, in The Journey Begins – the french knots for the toggles on his coat add such lovely details! Whether you’re creating Paddington for yourself or a loved one, we’re sure you’ll love your own journey with him.
On Holiday
It’s hard to not be obsessed with Tove Jansson’s beloved stories and characters, The Moomins, so what fun it is to see the squad pack up and head on their holidays! Leaving Moominvalley for the sea and sand, these new mini embroidery kits encapsulate the whimsy that Jansson’s stories held.
These 4-inch kits come with all you’ll need to get your projects started, including fabric, threads, full instructions and an embroidery hoop. Whether you’re home or away, these beachy kits will have you thinking of days at the seaside.
We’re loving Moomintroll’s hunt for treasure in Beach Day Fun, Snorkmaiden’s planned day of sun-worshipping in Seaside Style, Moominmamma’s well-deserved rest in Day In The Sun, and Moominpappa listening to the sounds of the ocean in Seashell Discovery. Whichever you choose, it’s clear that the gang is loving that summer sun as much as the rest of us!
Stick & Stitch
Embroidery is such a stunning craft and for those who are looking to use up some spare fabric and threads, stick and stitch packs always feel like the perfect solution. In another new addition to the warehouse, The Crafty Kit Company’s Stick & Stitch designs cover a number of themes, including ones for the festive season, letters and numbers, even toadstools, pictured below.
Each sheet eradicates the need to trace or transfer the design, as all you need to do is…Stick & Stitch! The stabiliser is soluble, so once you’ve completed your design, simply wash it away and voila!

By Moonlight
When we were originally looking further into the brand, we absolutely fell in love with their Mini Masterpieces: a series of four quaint cottages in various locations, clearly inspired by their very location around Scotland, where The Crafty Kit Company are based. Since then, we’ve seen the wonderful arrival of the Painting With Wool kits, offering you the opportunity to learn a new skill alongside creating something quite spectacular.
While all of the kits within the range have our heart, the kits featuring a full moon have enchanted us and then some. Whether its the Woodland Gnomes, the Hedgehog, the Wise Owl hooting in the trees, or the Sleepy Fox, The Crafty Kit Company have designed quite the conversation pieces with these kits.
With the colours and tones used alongside the whimsical characters, the Painting With Wool range offers a wonderful idyllic snapshot of what we’d love to truly see. Each piece almost delivers a story, with the viewer charmed and wondering what’s lead each of them to rest underneath the moonlight.
