The clocks have changed, and there’s an energy in the air for this winter. I’ve felt the first autumnal chill in the air, and with that, finished some much needed projects. I had on my hook the Edna Hood by Wave Lengths, which I have just finished, and my friend has just had a baby, so a lovely baby blanket has been wrapped up ready to give! I’d best get started on those Christmas makes, as it’ll be in here in a blink of an eye ✨ Anyway, less about me, let’s see what is new in the warehouse…!

As the days grow shorter and the air turns crisp, it’s the perfect time to curl up with your favourite yarn and a hot cup of tea. The new Drops Snow shades have arrived just in time for winter, and they’re simply beautiful. Eight new colours blend seamlessly into the existing range, from the deep, comforting tones of Dark Grape, Plum Wine, and Ruby Red. You can even find free patterns for Drops Snow on their website, perfect for a bit of inspiration on a chilly Friday afternoon.

And for those who love knitting socks (or gifting them), the new Opal Funky range is such a treat. With 8 playful shades, from gentle brights to bold, cheerful colour, each ball is just waiting to be cast on. Picture yourself on a quiet evening, nestled under a blanket, starting a new pair of socks that’ll keep you, or someone special, warm all winter long 🧦

Rico Creative Chenillove is a super-soft and supple chenille yarn, perfect for making toys and baby garments.  The delicate, subtle colours and the beautiful matt shine are perfect for delicate baby skin. With 4 new shades, all perfect for plushy makes! Rico Chenillove have two books, which are great inspiration for this yarn!

Gingham isn’t just for the warmer months! This beautiful scarf is created by Anna Stephenson of The House of Buddleia and is made using Yarnsmiths Pebble Haze in an Aran weight. This pattern features colourwork knitted in the round, and is a great introduction to those new to colourwork, or a mindful project for a seasoned knitter. The Laura scarf is gorgeous, one that adds a little colour to your winter.

We’ve shown you the new shades of Rico Creative Chenillove, and now you get to see the new Rico Chenillove Sparkle Christmas Book. We all know how fun Rico’s pattern books are, and this one is no different. The cute trees, wreaths and candy canes are super cute, and easy to make for the festive season, and the yarn is soft and squishy, in a beautiful range of shades.

That’s all for this month, why not head over to see what’s new with Needlecraft, and make sure you pop over to see Vic in Fabric πŸ₯° Toodaloo 🌈✨
