It’s week two of our seasonal Staff Spotlights for the month of December and this week, we caught up with General Manager Ellie to see what makes her Christmas that much more magical ✨

Hi, Ellie! What are your favourite things about the season?

Cosy nights in under a blanket, watching Christmas films, and drinking hot chocolate with the Christmas tree lights twinkling in the background.

Are there any shows or movies that you love to watch this time of year?

I always try to make sure I’ve watched The Holiday at least once over the festive period, and in recent years, the Netflix Christmas movies have been a definite watch – I know they can be very cheesy, but who doesn’t love a romantic love story over the festive period!😊

We certainly do! What are your top three festive songs?

All I Want for Christmas Is You, Fairytale of New York, and Jingle Bell Rock.

Without spoilers if they’re for a present, can you tell us a little bit about your latest WIP?

Throughout the year, I always have lots of plans to make gifts for friends and family, but as yet, I’ve not actually started any of these gifts! I am currently still knitting a vest top for myself that was supposed to be finished in the summer months…oops!

What’s the ‘now it feels like Christmas’ moment in your home?

Going out to buy a real Christmas tree, and decorating it whilst watching a Christmas film 😊

And finally, what certain tipples (if any) or snack cupboard staples are a must for you this time of year?

Baileys, all the chocolates and lots of cheese and biscuits 😊
