Hello 2026! January started with icy weather, frosts covering the warehouse roof, and orders that have kept us busy bees! With a New Year comes new yarns, and we have some fabulous ones for you to try…
Spotlights in the Warehouse

Six new shades of Yarnsmiths Lagoon DK have launched this month, which is great for those who love a variegated yarn. The six shades range from softer pinks like the Golden Hour and Evening Mist, to fabulous cool blues like Rockpool and Whirlpool. The single ply yarn works up a treat, with longer colour changes that knit or crochet up fabulously on larger projects like blankets and shawls. The range now has 25 shades of yarn that can be made in any DK pattern. Shop here.

Introducing Cascade Woolpaka Lite, the lighter version of the popular Woolpaka yarn. In 30 wonderful shades, ranging from soft lilacs to earthy yellows, this Peruvian Highland Wool with Superfine Alpaca delivers softness and exceptional stitch definition, making it ideal for delicate textures, lightweight garments and transitional pieces.

Four new shades of West Yorkshire Spinners Colour Lab DK launched on 21st of this month, which now makes the collection a whopping 39 colours. The 4 new shades are English Lavender, which is a soft shade of purple, adding a spring feel to your projects. Marine Teal is a wonderfully deep teal, which contrasts well with the next new shade, Copper Orange – a rich burnt copper/orange, perfect for adding a pop of colour to colourwork pieces. The last shade is Wine Red, a beautiful red that adds depth and texture to your knit and crochet pieces. Shop the whole range here.

The wait is over! The Joseph Coat launched in January, which we have seen all over social media, and has had folks buzzing. The bright colours from Yarnsmiths Lagoon make this coat a wonderful project with exceptional wear afterwards. Kaz from Insomnia Crochet loves the Lagoon yarn, as seen in her Billie Blanket, and thought a wearable piece would work wonders, which we have to agree… it does! Get the downloadable pattern here.
We’re deep into winter, which means some of you will be making woolly hats to see you through the colder months. It’s a perfect opportunity for us to do a full circle moment and spotlight our Trimits Pom Poms again. In 2 different sizes, 6cm and 11cm, the Trimits Pom Poms are full of colour, print and softness. They recently introduced the tipped Pom Poms, which add texture and fluff to any finished project. All Pom Poms have a ribbon tie, making it easy to attach to your projects, and swap and change depending on the look you are going for – a win win! Shop the range here.
