Hello, all! Another month almost ticked off and another round up here in The Craft Room – we honestly can’t fathom where this year’s going, but are we glad to see the sun shining once again?! YES. Yes, we are.
This month’s seen bank holidays and breaks, but for us in the warehouse, it’s also seen new collections and deliveries keeping us busy – let’s see what’s new for Fabric & Needlecraft this month!

Summer Fair – Liberty Fabrics 🎪
We couldn’t get into the post without talking about this stunning new collection from Liberty Fabrics! Summer Fair is bringing all the summer vibes with its colour palette and whimsy, making us reminisce about fetes, fairs, and past holidays. As for the inspiration behind the new collection, they had this to say via their site:
“Roll up! Roll up! Join Liberty on a fun-filled day out at the fair with the new collection for crafting. Bursting with festive frenzy and a sense of nostalgia, be whisked away on a charming carousel or win a prize at the coconut shy with the Summer Fair series. This 20-design collection features a variety of stunning shades and tones, with pops of marigold, cobalt blue and dashes of rich crimson across the board. We have to say, the Emolly Carousel is up there as one of our favourite prints, especially in the Bright colourway. Yet just as fun and another of our faves is the Fairground Stripe, bringing the memories of those fun days at the fair.

Ginghams – Craft Cotton Company 💜
Another collection that’s new in this month are these Ginghams from the Craft Cotton Company! These colours are bringing the summer vibes and you’ve all been loving these so far – who could blame you?!
Ginghams have always been a bit of a classic when it comes to a blender, but with the somewhat recent resurgance of cottagecore, we’ve definitely seen gingham appear in many other collections. However, to have a blend of both vibrant colours in the Zest range and more muted shades for the Garden range is a real treat.
Whether you’re making some cute napkins, a lampshade, or something new to wear, we’re sure there’s a gingham in this collection that will suit your project perfectly.

Needlecraft 🪡
Wallace & Gromit – Bothy Threads 🫖
Bothy Threads’ latest release sees the addition of popular duo Wallace & Gromit! Feeling like quite the celebratory collection, this mix of kits and needle minders showcase the iconic Aardman Animations characters in a number of scenes, including some perilous situations! First up, the Wonderfully W&G kit features this little team with a friendly thumbs up and a smile over a bright, printed aida, exclusive to the collection. With detailed shading and backstitching, it’s the perfect make for any fan.
We’re heading on a couple of adventures for these next kits! Cracking Holidays sees Wallace and Gromit hitting the open road in true, chaotic fashion. With an impressivly-printed background on 14-count aida, we can’t help but wonder if these two will reach their staycation destination. The Steady On! kit sees a classic scene in stitch format from fan-favourite, The Wrong Trousers; featured on ice-blue aida with intricate and detailed backstitching, Steady On! is a challenge, but one far less hazardous than what they’re up to!
Of course, there couldn’t be a collection like this without a nod to everyone’s favourite, er, chicken, Feathers McGraw! Oh Sew Fruitful! 🍒
We’re big fans of Trimits in the warehouse and their latest drop has proved fruitful – literally! Perfect for those on-the-go summer makes, these full kits come in at under £10 each, proving to be the ideal holiday craft!
We’re loving the pop of sky blue for the Cherries embroidery kit; the background really makes the tones stand out and feel so fresh for summer! Next up is the Strawberry Jam tapestry kit in this wonderful vintage-style design, ideal for those wanting to try a new craft. Finally, this cute basket of Strawberries takes our final pick! With wonderful stitching details across lush crimsons and sages, this kit feels like the perfect make for picnic season.
