Hi there Crafters, and a belated Happy New Year! Is it too tardy to extend well wishes in late January? Well, here we are, embracing the new year with enthusiasm! As usual, we’ve been busy picking and packing your orders, and it’s always a pleasure. Now, let’s dive into the exciting realm of what’s new in our warehouse shall we? Grab a cuppa and some biscuits…
New in the Warehouse
Did you catch the buzz on Cygnet‘s social media? They’ve unleashed the fabulous Tickly Tots yarn! Say goodbye to pilling woes, this beauty comes in 6 self-striping shades, each with a delightful, mottled twist, it’s perfect for your little ones!
There’s been more excitement down the aisles of the warehouse!
Introducing Rico’s Sprinkly Stripey Socks yarn. With a robust 75% wool and 25% polyamide blend, this yarn is a sock-making powerhouse. The colour options are like a candy store for your creativity, from eye-popping neons to nature-inspired hues. It’s a self-patterning yarn that knits up into alternating stripes, and just like sugar sprinkles on those popular doughnuts we all love, it’s got sprinkles running through it!
Also this month, we have the bigger sister to the Stylecraft Merry Go Round DK. If you are a fan favourite of the DK yarn that adorns our colourful shelves, then you may like this for your chunkier knits. Merry Go Round is always a hit for a funky cardigan or jumper for the young ones, and with a selection of six powerful colour mixes to choose from, you’re sure to find something to suit. Enjoy the ride!
New projects for busy hands!
If you haven’t discovered the wonder of Helen Shrimpton’s creations yet, get ready for a delightful surprise. Her projects are like treasures you’ll want to hold onto forever, even if some lucky folks get gifted with them (totally not envious, promise!) The patterns are wonderfully intricate, and if you find yourself in a crafting conundrum, hop on the Facebook page where a bunch of fellow craft enthusiasts are ready to lend a helping hand! Meet Granny Mandy in two fantastic styles – go for the aran weight for a classic feel or snuggle up with the chunky version for extra cosiness!
We’ve also had some delightful books in from Rowan and Lopi.
Lopi has a gorgeous collection of 23 knitting patterns featuring the legendary Lopi yarns from Iceland. This volume has whimsical styling and clear directions for stranded colorwork sweaters, cabled sweaters, children’s accessories and more.
The Rowan Designer Collective is an accessory collection which is rich in colour and technique. Featuring both guest and Rowan designers and a range of Rowan’s most popular yarns, Felted Tweed, Kidsilk Haze, Kid Classic and Alpaca Classic – this is a must for accessory lovers everywhere.
