The Stitchuation 🧵 Mouseloft

Since 1995, Roger and Helen Hart have been creating fun little projects in Mouseloft, a renowned brand that many stitchers are more than familiar with. Their mini kits have been the perfect packages to learn a new craft with, as their complete kits can be whipped up in one afternoon.

It’s a stitching rite of passage at this point that at some stage in our crafting lives, we will have completed at least one of these cute little kits. And if you haven’t, perhaps taking a moment with us is the perfect place to start.

It’s rare that we talk about ourselves within these posts, but I couldn’t write a Mouseloft feature and not mention how they’d gotten me back into stitching many moons ago.

If you’ve read some of my previous posts, you might remember me mentioning that my Grandma taught me how to cross stitch. Growing up, my interest in it waned.

I picked it up again almost ten years ago and made the little Beach Hut you can see on the left – forgive the ancient Instagram filter!

Perhaps you’ll be inspired to pick things up again or learn a new craft thanks to one of these little kits. Either way, let’s dive in with our picks of the month.

With December most certainly here, it’s a time where many of us think of what to make or purchase for our nearest and dearest, so what better way to kick of proceedings than to stitch into Christmas with these fabulously festive kits!

Of course, we had to go with some traditional picks and Mouseloft have not steered us wrong. Using a pale blue Aida, we love the tree-mendous (yeah, we know…) camper van and the decorated tree. But we’re also loving this little Robin Red Breast sitting on a Postbox; you could make any of their kits into a card, yet luckily for us all, they’ve ticked that off our lists when it comes to the Poinsettia kit, which already includes everything you need in order to send the perfect Christmas wish.

It’s always nice to receive a card in the post, so bringing a smile to a loved one’s face just feels even better. Whatever the occasion, Mouseloft might have just the thing you’re looking for.

Whether it’s raising a toast or getting married, to celebrating a retirement or a birthday for those footie fans, stitching for another proves to be such a thoughtful gift. Each of the Occasions kits include your Aida, stranded cottons, a needle, clear instructions and a card and envelope.

We’re sure you’ve noticed yourselves at this point, but it’s clear that Mouseloft excel at their ranges. We couldn’t curate a Stitchuation about the brand without talking about the whimsical Just Gnomes!

With six gnomes to the collection and all having different types of fun, we couldn’t bring ourselves to single any of them out. Gone Fishing, Golfing A-Round, Scooting About and Hiking Along are perfect to stitch up for those who love an activity, where Gnice Day At The Beach and Hello Mr. Sunflower are great to gift for those who love a bit of R&R.

Paw Prints is another collection from Mouseloft that proves popular – we think it’s safe to assume it’s down to the cutest of furry friends! With either a Dachshund, Cockapoo, Lurcher, Border Collie or Labrador available to stitch, you’ll be starving off walkies for them while you finish these. Who could blame you!

We hope you’ve enjoyed this month’s brand focus; to shop the full Mouseloft collection, click HERE. That’s it for us for this edition of The Stitchuation! We’ll be back with some fresh picks in 2025; wishing you a prosperous new year in the meantime!
