Cascade Yarns, the much-loved yarn brand that has been a staple in the knitting and crochet world for decades, offering a delightful array of textures, weights, and most importantly – colours that simply beg to be knitted up.
Cascade started its life in Seattle, USA, and they always prioritised practicality over pomp and circumstance. They knew knitters valued quality yarn, so they focused their savings on getting the best possible materials at great prices. This philosophy has stuck with them through four moves, and their warehouse is now located in Washington.

We currently stock a lovely selection of 14 ranges from their collection, with the 220 range being a particular favourite amongst our crafty customers. Those beautiful hanks add a touch of luxury to any project, and with the 220 range boasting a veritable feast of shades, you’ll be truly spoilt for choice. And speaking of choice, we recently expanded our Cascade range at the start of this year (January 2025) to include some gorgeous new additions like Woolpaka, Heritage 6, and 220 Superwash Merino!
Cascade also boasts an extensive library of free patterns, which is a real treat for us crafters. With both crochet and knitting patterns available, you can really put your skills to the test with some intricate designs that will look absolutely smashing in their yarns. From colourful jumpers to cosy knitted blankets, the library is vast and a constant source of inspiration for our weekly Free Pattern Friday.

Whether you’re a seasoned pro or just dipping your toes into the wonderful world of crafting, Cascade are an absolute must try for those new projects! Just remember to wind those hanks correctly before you start your project – you’ll thank me later 🙂
Now, the burning question… Which yarn brand shall we unravel next?
