We’re back with another Fabric Focus and it’s nothing but pure sunshine, as we celebrate Lewis & Irene’s latest collection! Bursting with colour, foliage and vibrant prints, Paradise certainly brings the heat.
As always, we love to hear what’s inspired Lewis & Irene to create another brilliantly cohesive collection; via their website, they explain:
“The weather doesn’t always feel like paradise here in the UK. When it’s a little gloomy outside we like to think of sunshine and warmth. Floating away on a daydream, perhaps to our own idea of paradise.
That sunshiny place might look a lot like the fabrics in this collection! Colourful birds, luscious fruits and palm trees swaying in a gentle breeze. The colours remind us of travels to tropical destinations and dreams of an easy going, island life.”

The introduction to Paradise feels as though it surrounds you with ocean air as light breezes dance through palm leaves. Mirrored in the main print, pink cockatoos sit atop fruit branches, surrounded by trees, papaya and numerous plants. It’s nothing but holiday vibes and available in Aqua, Cream and Peaceful Pink, crafting something for your own slice of paradise just feels like the right thing to do, as you’ll be quick to settle into a state of blissful, holiday relaxation at home.
As these months have ticked by, we think that picking our favourites within the collections only gets tougher and tougher! Each design stands strong on their own; even blenders such as the Tropical Trees, Parrots and Pineapples offer that Miami-style hotel vibe, perfectly marrying modern and retro together through each colour choice and pattern style. We’ll just have to take one of everything for this one!
Bringing Paradise Home…

As always, Lewis & Irene have delivered on another stunning quilt pattern to further accompany the collection. Designed by Sally Ablett, the Paradise pattern offers two colour ways, utilising the full range with stunning effect. We love the almost deco-esque pineapple repeat on the main sections of the pattern, with the stars offering a little window to a beautiful palm view. To get started on making yours, simply click HERE and download the pattern for free.
Sadly, we’re going to have to tear ourselves away from this slice of Paradise and get back to work, yet if you’d like to stick around in the tropics that little bit longer, you can do so by viewing the full collection HERE.
That’s it for this week’s Fabric Focus, we hope you’ve enjoyed it! If you’re new here, or haven’t already, be sure to subscribe to The Craft Room below so you never miss a post. We can’t wait to see you again soon ✨
