Last year, I caught up with some of my fellow Woolly Workers to ask them whether they had any crafty goals they’d like to hit in 2025! With ticking off my own little check in, I recently caught up with Customer Service Manager Adam, to see what these past six months have looked like for him.
Hi, Adam! How have you been getting on since we last caught up?
Since New Year, I have finished a knitting colour work jumper I started back in April 2024, and I absolutely love it! The fit wasn’t quite right to start with, but having tweaked the hem slightly, it is now the perfect fit. I am still to make a start on a crocheted cotton shirt, but it is something I would like to do once I’ve finished a granny square shirt.

It looks AMAZING! What else has been happening for you that may not be crafting related?
My husband and I bought a caravan at the start of the year, we have named her Mabel, so making slight adjustments to that has taken some of our spare time. I made curtains for the two small windows, which I didn’t enjoy if I’m honest, but the finished result is really cute! I would prefer to be making/sewing items of clothing. We have been to the Peak District and Lake District so far this year, and hope to have many more holidays with our dog Eadie.

We love Mabel and what a great addition to 2025! Anything else you’d like to add?
As most things in life, things change. I can sometimes lose interest in projects that take a long time to complete, which is why it took me a long time to complete my colour jumper! I have been through my yarn stash, and have a few ideas to try and use up any yarn, or gift it to charity. I really need to find the time to get my sewing machine out and sew an Indian style shirt. Going forward for the rest of the year, there will be some crochet, knitting and sewing projects on the go!
I think I can speak for us all when I say we can’t wait to see what you’re up to next! Thanks for sharing with me, Adam! ☀️
I’ll be checking in with Annette and Francesca soon, so be sure to check back for their updates. Alternatively, you can subscribe to The Craft Room below to make sure you never miss a post from us ⤵️
