We’re happy to welcome you back to Book Club for the month of June, and what better way to spend it than to thumb through page after page of pure colour! We’re huge fans of Kaffe Fassett in the warehouse, as his bright, unique and quirky designs keep us inspired throughout the year. Also a huge hit with quilters everywhere, his books offer a further dive into his craft and inspirations.
Timeless Themes focuses on past and present for the designer, as we revisit some of Kaffe’s iconic bold prints and patterns. Taking us on quite the journey over his illustrious career, each page is filled with memories, tales and stunning photographs from over the decades. Blending his well-loved classic concepts, Timeless Themes offers quilters a new, fresh take on his works.
Featuring patterns to suit a range of skill-levels, the book also incorporates prints of partner and studio manager, Brandon Mably, alongside fellow Kaffe Fassett Collective designer, Philip Jacobs. The three designer’s creations work incredibly well together, not just apart, as each of them are able to bring their own unique style to the mix, creating a quilt that offers artistry and incredible personality.
Insightful, fascinating and encouraging, Kaffe really invites us behind the curtain in Timeless Themes, as he talks us through the locations that influenced his designs. His attraction towards unique designs from all over the world is truly celebrated here, as his passion inspires us to view the intricacies of what we discover around us.
