I feel like I’m saying this in every round-up at the moment, but it continues to astonish me at how quickly 2025 is rolling by! I hope you’ve all been enjoying the sunshine and have had a truly wonderful month. It feels like only a moment ago I was curating things for May’s round-up, but I’m here again to show you what’s been bringing the smiles and setting those creative juices flowing for June. First up, we’re heading to one of our favourite collaborations, as Lewis & Irene present another stunning collection with Bluebellgray.

Bluebellgray – Berneray 🪻

As soon as Lewis & Irene teamed up with Bluebellgray, we knew just how much you’d all love it. With hand-painted imagery and beautiful attention to detail, each collection is never short of stunning. Under The Sea is due later on in the year as part of their Wee Blue Bell range, yet it’s Berneray that’s stolen our hearts this month.

When talking about the inspiration behind the collection, Bluebellgray offers via Lewis & Irene’s site:

Named after the Hebridean Isle of Berneray, this collection is a celebration of this beautiful island’s beaches, landscapes and machair that’s featured across the Island. Inspired by wild flowers, stripes, and abstracted flora, in a contemporary palette of soft pinks, jewelly blues and fresh greens[…].

Ideal for both quilting and dressmaking projects, Berneray is a collection that’s due to inspire a wealth of makes. Its handpainted illustrations of pretty florals and pinstripes will prove timeless across shirts, dresses and homewares. Whether it’s a make for yourself or a loved one, Berneray’s elements and designs are sure to add another layer to that special something. Be sure to check out the full collection HERE.

I just wanted to say a big thank you to Assistant Customer Service Manager Paula for letting me borrow her very own wildflowers for these images! I think we can all agree that her homegrown and handpicked blooms are not only stunning, but help further illustrate Berneray’s inspirations in taking note of the true beauty of the world around us.

Moda’s Beautiful Batiks 🌿

Another couple of collections that have hit the warehouse this month are the stunning batiks from Moda. Not only have they been a joy to unpack, we’ve seen how much you’ve been loving these ranges, too! Made in Indonesia, the Berrylicious and Blue Ridge batik collections have been a fast favourite, showcasing some wonderfully intricate patternwork across two colourways.

The Berrylicious collection offers prints and batik blenders in a variety of shades, featuring vibrant cerises and rich purples, with contrasting bright tones on deep navy, boasting some truly stunning patternwork. As for Blue Ridge, tones of turquoise and sky blues feature, bringing in elements of rust orange to contrast and compliment both teal and navy. Cream is offered in other blenders to further lift Blue Ridge, extending its palette to suit your projects.

Created with such a unique dyeing process, batiks always feel as if you’re obtaining such a moment in time. Fabric is always a joy to own regardless of what you choose to do with it, yet the methods, traditions and origins of batiks can’t help but make you feel as though you’re about to use something incredibly special.

Both collections are currently on offer, saving you a fabulous 29%! Not only will your wallet thank you for it, so will your fabric stash, as we’re sure these beautiful batiks are sure to get embracing your creativity. Be sure to shop the full collections HERE.

A Little More Sunshine ☀️

Whether it be for my own personal projects or curating posts for you to enjoy over your favourite fruity drink, walking around the fabric department is sure to inspire me in any season. Yet there’s something about perusing the summertime stock that really feels joyous to revisit and, in turn, write about.

Taking a little trip through our stunning Liberty Fabrics aisle, I thought we could all revisit the Riviera for the month of June. Not only has this been a favourite for many Woolly Workers, we know how much you’ve loved using this for your projects. But for those who may not be familiar with this wonderfully nostalgic range, I thought I’d take you back to the seaside to explore what this collection has to offer, as it evokes nothing but summer vibes.

Stunning florals are what many think of when Liberty Fabrics come to mind, yet it’s always astonishing to put in perspective just how far back some of their iconic prints go. Therefore, it’s no surprise that Riviera was just another collection to host some of those classic prints for the modern day.

As proudly stated from their original lookbook, the Riviera collection “takes us on a tour of the British coastline”. Never one to let us down, Liberty Fabrics have certainly done just that.

Not only have they managed to encapsulate the magic of those past sunny days by the sea by featuring beach huts, sailing motifs and seaside treasures, the designs host a wide range of history, too.

Seaside Bloom and Coastal Flowers were originally created back in the early to mid-thirties, while the Sun Parasol design was featured in other colourways back in the mid-seventies and early eighties. Even with the prints created solely for Riviera, it’s clear to see the dedication and vision that Liberty Fabrics put into marrying vintage and modern designs together, forever creating a strong collection that never fails to bring joy to any quilter.

Well, that’s it from me for all things Fabric for sunny June – thanks for joining me!
