It feels like only a second ago it was November, let alone the end of December! We’re rounding things up as usual and taking a look at some exciting new brands that have popped up under Bothy Threads’ colourful umbrella! Without further ado, let’s take a look at what’s been happening…
Brand New Bothy 🏠
As mentioned above, Bothy Threads have welcomed a couple of new designers into the fold; safe to say we’re pretty excited about it! First up, Fable by Paper Rose have launched with two new kits. Using full stitches, French knots and stunning metallic threads, both Cherished Love and Little Delight would be perfect to stitch for any little one, or for lovers of all things super-cute!

Both kits come with 14-count Zweigart aida, pre-sorted stranded cottons, full instructions with options for personalisation, and a cross stitch needle. Coming in at 15cm x 17cms, both of these Fable projects are great to take on the go in a mini project bag. With two great designs already, we can’t wait to see what UK-based illustrator, Beth, does next!
Another newcomer to the brand is self-taught artist Chloë Pennington, designing for her own brand named Chloë’s Chateau. With a variety of styles, Chloë’s pieces seem to be lead by whatever takes her in that moment. However, the lines that have been launched with Bothy Threads thus far are two stunning floral pieces, a pair that would be a great addition to any home or loved space.

Designed to be stitched on a stunning piece of 14-count full colour printed Zweigart aida, Chloë’s designs feature vibrant florals and fauna, divinely detailed with backstitch. Yet stitched just off-centre to these eye-catching pieces are some wonderful quotes. In Vision of Spring, Matisse offers a sentence to stop you in your tracks, where in Roses of Summer, Rubin offers a moment of memory.
With Chloë still in her teens, we’re positive we’ll be seeing even more of her stunning translations into kits as time passes on and, similar to how we feel with Beth over at Fable, we’re excited to see where this illustrator takes us!
Reflection 🏔️
We couldn’t round things out without mentioning this beautiful new Lucy Pittaway kit! A deviation from her well-known series starring sheep, A Pawfect Place By The Water offers an idyllic image of an owner and their pooch in a reflective moment by the lake.
Based on her original artwork of the same name, this piece translates to a cross stitch kit wonderfully well, managing to still capture the finer details of what makes its original so great.
Using backstitch for the finer details, this piece really offers a moment of serenity for both the characters in the scene and the stitcher.
Wonderfully composed featuring tones reminiscent of colder mornings using carefully chosen pinks and purples, A Pawfect Place By The Water proves to be quite the striking kit.

Celebrating her tenth year as an artist, it’s easy to understand why her work has resonated with so many after pieces like this, year after year. For more information and to view the full Lucy Pittaway collection, simply click HERE.
A Year In Stitches 📆
With the new year fast approaching, we thought we’d take a trip down memory lane and remind ourselves of what memorable moves have been made in the needlecraft department in 2025. Firstly, we welcomed Orchidea into the warehouse back in March.
Offering multiple diciplines, Orchidea boasts latch hook kits, cross stitch kits and kits for you to make some stunning decorations with- even tissue boxes are available for you to stitch and sew! Perhaps taking up a new dicipline is part of your 2026 plans! To view Orchidea’s full range, simply click HERE.

Other exciting additions have been the selection of Stitchrovia’s cross stitch pattern books! We’re huge fans of Emma Congdon in the warehouse, and her stunning typography designs have continued to blow us away over four titles. The most recent release, Merry Stitchmas, was recently covered for our Book Club series – be sure to check that out HERE!
Emma’s patterns are forever a treat to stitch. With clear instructions, these fun and, sometimes, thought-provoking designs will be a treat to pick up and sew, with each completed project becoming a quick highlight of the home. You can view the full range of Emma’s books HERE.
That’s it from needlecraft from us for 2025! Before we round out the year, be sure to head over to see what Alex has for you in yarns and projects, and what’s Vic’s got in store for fabric!
We’d just like to take the opportunity again to thank you for spending time with us in The Craft Room this past year! Wishing you a very happy new year and don’t forget to subscribe below if you haven’t already! ⤵️🎆
