As we head into our final month of the year, many of us are busy crafting away to unwind and work through those WIPs. We’ve had some new additions to the needlecraft department, alongside some items that have been piquing your interest as of late. Without further ado, let’s see what’s been happening!
Having A Ball 🧶
We’ve got new Bothy on the block! This month, we’re excited to see Emma Ball and her fabulous artwork being translated into cross stitch kits!
For a while now, we’ve housed Emma Ball’s cute and quirky accessories, ranging from project bags and notebooks, to stitch markers, tins and more. We were buzzing to see the newer arrival of the needleminders and what better way to use them, than to pop them on a work-in-progress.

As an introduction, the talented team at Bothy have reworked Emma’s original artworks for A Cosy Clowder and A Fair Isle Flock. Featuring printed aida, both kits use french knots and backstitch to offer further details, really helping to bring each piece to life. For a further challenge, A Cosy Clowder features couching, offering an interesting mix of techniques and textures to the completed design.
We’re looking forward to seeing what the future holds with Bothy Thread and Emma Ball! In the meantime, you can check out the full range of Emma Ball stock HERE.
Decking The Halls 🎄
If you’re one to celebrate the festive season, Orchidea certainly feel like the one-stop-shop brand for this time of year! We’ve featured them before in our latest Christmas edition of The Stitchuation with their wide range of products, yet for this month’s round up, we’re focusing on their fab-yule-lous decorations!

To be stitched on 14-count plastic canvas, which is included in the kit, these decorations are a great way to add some festive cheer around the home. Using DMC stranded cottons and complete with full instructions, these four-piece kits are perfect to hunker down with on the lead up to Christmas. Whether you choose the snowglobes, the festive windows, four tasty treats or scenery in the stars, these decorations are sure to bring a smile year after year.
A Tipple Or Two 🍹
‘Tis the season to indulge and for some, this time of year is one where many see the perfect time for the return of their favourite drinks. Letters by Julia’s collection with Bothy Threads offers beautiful typography on black aida, offering interesting ways to display ingredients and methods in order to craft your favourite beverages. Each kit includes everything you’ll need to get started, including threads, full instructions and a selection of embellishments to stitch onto your fabric for that extra-special sparkle.

Whether you’re heading for the festive selections with a hot chocolate or a mulled wine, or something just for after five o’clock with a mojito or a strawberry daiquiri, the Letters by Julia collection is sure to be a great addition to any kitchen space – perhaps even for those with their own bar!
Stocking Around The Christmas Tree 🧦
Whether decorative or to be kindly filled with treats, stockings feel synomymous with Christmas. Crafting one can either be kept for yourself or passed on as a gift, and making things easier for us all, both Dimensions and the Historical Sampler Company have captured our hearts with these designs for the season.

These tapestry kits from the Historical Sampler Company bring all the festive feels with the Christmas Pudding Stocking, along with the Gingerbread Stocking! We love the mix of traditional and modern threaded through these designs, even more so as each kit comes in a wonderfully presented gift bag. Perfect for a little gift for yourself!
Our final highlight for the month goes to a stunning design from Dimensions as we see Father Christmas checking his list! Bunnies watch the festive figure around a sackful of goodies; fingers crossed we’re on the nice list! Featured on 14-count aida and with stunning detailing, this traditional design feels timeless, year after year.
That’s Needlecraft all stitched up for this month! Be sure to head over to see what yarns and projects Alex has for you all, and stop and see Vic in Fabric on your way, too! ✨
